Thinking about Katrina Disaster

Like most everyone else, I have been gluded to the TV and news for the past 2 weeks watching the devastation on the Gulf Coast. I can't help but wonder what is going to happen next with the hundreds of thousands of people who are left to start their lives over in foreign enviornment. Derek and I keep having conversations about how we can help- today and even next year. We both donated money to the Red Cross, but I recently donated to the Humane Society of the Unites States. Last week the photos of people really haunted me. This week its the pets that really are sticking in my mind as their time is running out quickly. Check out the link for more info.
