Sydney's Birthday Highlight, Intel Cutbacks

Sydney, our younger dog, turned 5 last week. She happily opened a gift from her grandparents from Florida. She now has a favorite new squeaky toy to play with and Mira has some treats to share also.

We had an eventful weekend shopping for house stuff with all the Labor Day sales and getting the house in order for next weekend's bbq and baby shower at our house. Derek is also working hard in his "free time" to complete the software project he has been working on for the Fire Department.

On another note, Intel annouced cutbacks in their workforce today (a decrease of 5,500 between now and mid-next year which will get our company to about 92,000). I dont suspect that this will effect my job. I'll keep you posted :) . I'm looking forward to going on maternity next month and getting a couple of things passed down this month to those who are covering for me until I return in the spring.

I only have 1 more hour in my 20s. At midnight tonight I turn 30!
