Happy Thanksgiving!

We have had a couple of exciting days this past week. First was the Michigan vs Ohio State game last weekend. We invited our Michigan Alumni friends over (Betsy, Robert, Emily's brother, Russell, & Angela) to watch the big game on Derek's new TV. Evan got dressed up for his first big game too! The loss was disappointing but it's still been a good season.

Then, of course, there was Thanksgiving - our first holiday with Evan. We went to Betsy & Robert's house and crashed their family meal. We had a great time even though we didn't contribute much to the meal (canned cranberry sauce & Pilsbury rolls). We loved the deep fried turkey and highly recommend it - only 40 minutes to make!

We also made a trip with Evan to Derek's fire station. He was wide awake and entertained all the guys.

On the Evan front, here are some of the highlights from his third week on earth:
-Evan can pick up his head and look around- we got some good photos of this
-Evan is practicing smiling in his sleep
-Evan learned to wrinkle his nose and now does that regularly when he's not pleased with something
-Evan makes new sounds- grunts, coos, gurgles- they all sound like "boy" noises

Again, we have posted a batch of new photos on the shutterfly site. Feel free to browse through photos of Evan in his Michigan sweatshirt, Evan next to a turkey leg on Thanksgiving, Evan picking up his head and practicing his push ups, Evan at the fire station and more.
