Merrie's 30th Birthday Summary & Upcoming Baby Shower

I had a wonderful birthday this past wednesday. I had to go to work for a couple hours but fit in a great lunch with some co-workers which included a complimentary sundae but I limited myself to one big bite. I opened a couple gifts and cards and got a ton of phone calls and emails. Derek took me out to Palisades (we finally remembered our gift certificate this time, last month we forgot it for our anniversary dinner) and I cheated a little on my low sugar diet and got some creme brule for desert. It was a wonderful low key birthday.

The next few days we'll be getting the house ready for the Shower/BBQ on Sunday. Check out our Evite invitation- we have about 40 people coming. We registered for a bunch of gifts at Babies R Us back in August and have held back on buying anything ourselves until the shower is over.
