Raising $$ for a Fantastic Organization

Tooting my own horn a bit, but I am happy that on Thursday night, I helped raise $17,000 to send 17 high school students to the national engineering conferences for NSBE, SHPE and AISES. This was part of the MESA non-profit org (I have been on the board for a year) that runs some amazing programs that focus on seattle public school students (primarly women and underrep minorities) and getting them into programs to generate interest in math, science and engineering and has an amazing sucess rate at college acceptance.
